Army Day is a public holiday in Iraq, known locally as عيد الجيش.
In 2026 it falls on Tuesday 6 January; in 2027 on Wednesday 6 January.
The date is fixed, so only the weekday changes from year to year.
3 other countries in our calendar also have Army Day as a public holiday.
