Liberation Day is a public holiday in Rwanda, known locally as Umunsi wo Kwibohora.
In 2026 it falls on Saturday 4 July, with a substitute day off on Monday 6 July; in 2027 on Sunday 4 July.
The date is fixed, so only the weekday changes from year to year.
17 other countries in our calendar also have Liberation Day as a public holiday.
