National Heroes' Day is a public holiday in Rwanda, known locally as Umunsi w'Intwari.
In 2026 it falls on Sunday 1 February, with a substitute day off on Monday 2 February; in 2027 on Monday 1 February.
The date is fixed, so only the weekday changes from year to year.
14 other countries in our calendar also have National Heroes' Day as a public holiday.
