UK Seeks Custom Duty Cut On Electric Vehicles Amid Discussion With India
The UK is pushing for a cut in customs duty on electric vehicles in the ongoing negotiations for signing a free-trade deal with India, a senior official confirmed. At present there is a customs duty of 60 per cent on imported cars priced below $40,000 while it is 100% on those priced above this point. The UK has suddenly brought in the new proposal on electric vehicles, uneasy for India.

An Indian Navy helicopter crashed on the runway of the Naval airport at Willingdon Island which is situated near Kochi on Saturday. There are reports that one Indian Navy personnel who was onboard the helicopter lost his life during the crash. The crash occurred during a trial run at the airport in Kochi. Newly Inducted c295 Aircraft To Take Part In Air Force Day On Oct 8
The newly-inducted C-295 medium tactical transport aircraft is likely to take part in the upcoming Air Force Day celebrations in Prayagraj in UP, said officials on September 25. Akasa Airline Seeks Intervention Of Delhi HC Over Pilot's Resignation
Akasa Airlines filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, seeking intervention into the recent mass resignation of pilots.
